FREQUENTLY
ASKED
QUESTIONS.
Q: WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
A: Microblading is a manual method of tattooing that creates beautiful, subtle, and natural brows that fill in thin brows, brows with bald spots, total brow reconstruction and even alopecia. Microblading requires a touch up every year to maintain the shape and saturation. The initial appointment takes 2.5 to 3 hours and touch up takes 1.5 to 2 hours.
Q: WHAT ARE NANO BROWS?
A: Nano-Brows are created with an ultra fine needle and machine to implant pigment. Hair strokes and combined powdered brows can be achieved with this method. With this method, we can create dramatic results. This is recommended for people who generally wear more makeup and prefer saturated brows. Results are more defined looking hair strokes than microblading and also last longer (1 to 3 years). Think of healed nano brows looking as if I drew your brows on with a pen, and microblading to look softer - as if I drew them on with a pencil. The initial appointment takes 3-4 hours and touch up takes 2 hours.

Q: HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
A: EYEBROW MICROBLADING: By 1-2 years, your microbladed eyebrow tattoo should be fairly light. Touch ups are recommended every year to retain shape and saturation. Pigment retention depends on skin type, age, aftercare, sun exposure, use of certain skin products, pigments used, immune system, medications and other factors.
NANO BROWS: Results last up to 3 years, sometimes longer!
OMBRE POWDER BROWS: Results can last up to 3 years depending on skin type.
EYELINER: 3-10 years, depending on your skin type.
LIPS: Results last up to 1 year depending on your skin type. Results look like a lip stain rather than lipstick. Since your lips are less porous and exfoliate more than brows or eyes, results are known to fade quicker.
Q: IS IT PAINFUL?
A: EYEBROW MICROBLADING: This varies depending on the customer and their pain tolerance. I use two types of numbing to ensure the appointment is comfortable. 97% of my clients say that they feel no pain during this procedure.
NANO BROWS: Numbing asthetic is used before and during your session to minimize pain. Most clients say pain is minimal.
EYELINER: We do use a higher grade numbing during this procedure. If you have a higher pain tolerance, the eyeliner procedure should feel like just a tickle with no pain. If you have a lower pain tolerance, the pain can range anywhere between 3-5 on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being low to no pain and 10 being very painful.
Q: WHAT IS THE HEALING TIME?
A: EYEBROWS: Your brows will take 10 days to heal. During that week, we encourage you to let them naturally exfoliate off. This means keeping them out of water, sweat, steam, etc. Once the scabbing phase passes, the brows will appear a lot lighter, and their true color should come out after 4 weeks. A touch up is recommended 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment.
EYELINER: Will take just a week to heal.
LIPS: Will take about a week to heal.
Q: HOW LONG IS THE APPOINTMENT?
A: EYEBROWS: The appointment takes 3-4 hours. Most of the time spent is going over drawing and shapes - to ensure that your healed brow is perfect for you. Sometimes we cannot plan how long the shaping process will take so these are approximate times.
EYELINER: Depending on the thickness, it can be anywhere between 2-4 hours. 2 hours for natural lash enhancement and 4 hours for thick winged liner. Touch up takes much quicker.
LIPS: Just about an hour.
Q: WILL YOU DRAW IN THE SHAPE FIRST?
A: Yes, I won't start until you agree with the shape style and color.
Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MICROBLADING AND NANO NEEDLE EYEBROWS?
A: Microblading: Done by a hand tool, so it is a manual method of tattooing. Healed results are much softer than nano strokes. Touch ups are recommended yearly to maintain the shape and saturation of your brows. Results last up to 2 years.
Nano-brows: This procedure is done by a tattoo machine and the finest tip needle which makes results last much longer (up to 3 years) than microblading. Using the machine causes less trauma to the skin. Hair strokes stay defined even when results lighten over time.
Q: WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?
A: Before we begin the procedure, we sit down and work with you to shape your brows with a pencil and agree on the best color and shape to fit your face. This does not require your entire eyebrow to be shaved and does not damage your natural hair. To keep discomfort to a minimum, anesthetic creams are used before and during the procedure. Additional touch ups may be needed to achieve your desired results and may be booked either ahead of time, or at the time of your appointment. If you desire fuller brows, it will require 2-3 sessions to build depth to your brows. Please refer to the Pricing page for more info.
